About Us

Act.IL is a joint venture of the Israeli American Council (IAC) and the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC), based on IDC’s “Situation Room” that was founded during Operations “Pillar of defense” (2012)  and  “Protective Edge” (2014)

Our Vision

Our vision is to create an online community that will act to promote a positive influence on the international public opinion towards the state of Israel via social media platforms. Anyone, Anywhere, Anytime.

Our Main Goal

Is to positively inform and influence foreign publics and create an efficient and effective battle against the growing trend of the boycott movement (BDS) and the delegitimization of the State of Israel.

Our goal is executed through four pillars of action:

1. Original content creation of campaigns that by now reached millions of people around the world.
2. Professional training to the pro-Israel community in order to give people the tools to be active online in an effective way.
3. Online activism – doing and creating pro-Israel online tasks, such as: reporting inciting pages, sharing content, signing petitions, commenting on articles, in order to increase the pro-Israel presence online.
4. Media Rooms – The room’s vision is to empower and engage the entire local community to act for the state of Israel on social media platforms.

"NO-LOGO" Strategy

One of the most unique aspects in our activity is our “no-logo” strategy.
The no-logo strategy allows anyone to use our content, and makes it easier than ever to reach audiences that aren’t necessarily pro Israel since they look at the content without a bias that is based on who created the content.

ACT.IL APP

Act.IL is a first of its kind app, crowdsourcing pro-Israeli activists worldwide and leveraging the power of communities to support Israel’s image and fight against the demonization of the state of Israel.

This online platform aims to organize the pro-israel community to work efficiently together via social media, thus creating a wide scale impact on the hearts and minds of global audiences.  It allows organizations and their community leaders, as well as any individual activist, to be effective while feeling a part of something bigger – an Online Community for Israel

Trainings

The program trains pro-Israel campus leaders and individuals or groups from pro-Israel communities over the globe, in order to set a network of professional activists that operate the virtual situation room. These activists create tailor made pro-Israel content, based on thorough research regarding the specific target audience, which is distributed worldwide via various new media platforms.

Campaigns

Act.IL’s social media campaigns are based on tailor made pro-Israel content, thorough research regarding the specific target audience and the goals of the campaign. We estimate our success by asking ourselves not only “How many were exposed to our content?” but also by “Who was exposed to our message?”

Media Rooms

The room’s vision is to empower and engage the entire local community to act for the state of Israel on social media platforms. It will be operated by a local manager, a team of volunteer mentors (young professionals) that will lead the different departments together with student ambassadors (high school and college students).
